Learning objective: Add and subtract integers

Activity Description:

 

 

• Teacher will create a snake and leader board that starts from 0 till 100 and will use two dice where each die have eight sides. The faces of the die will have integer numbers from -4 till 4.
• Rules of the game:

 

Rule 1: If you obtain positive integers on both dices, then add the two numbers

 

Rule 2: If you obtain negative integers on both dices, then add the value and keep the negative sign

 

Rule 3: If you obtain integers with opposite integers, then subtract and put the sign of the biggest number in absolute value.

• Students will be divided into groups of four and they will compete against each other until one group reach the number 100 on the snake and leader board!
