Material:
- pictures about their favorite sports. (Including photos of players while playing the sports).
- Glue
- Pencil
- A3 papers
Activity Description:
- Group students according to their favorite games (5 students/group).
- Ask students to display the pictures, and to show how is the player moving by joining lines and rays.
- Conclude that angles are formed by those differents pictures.
- A skier holding his skiing board while jumping in the air
- a player kicking the football
- how the tennis ball will land
- Then students have to categorize the angles into:
- Acute angles measure less than 90 degrees
- Right angles measure exactly 90 degrees
- Obtuse angles measure less than 90 degrees
- Straight angles measure exactly 180 degrees
- At the end they can paste a picture next to each type of angles.
