Alignment

Throughout the CPD programs that I have designed and delivered, I have been calling for “connecting the dots”, “bringing the different pieces of a puzzle together”, “linking theory to practice”.

Today, while surfing the net, I came across the theory created by “John Biggs” which is called the constructive alignment process. This process calls for connecting the learning outcomes to teaching and learning activities to assessments. This process is exactly what we need to embrace as educators throughout our teaching journey.
